Family Violence Training
The NIFVS team provides the following suite of training:
MARAM Collaborative Practice is delivered online fortnightly, in a full-day model.
Explore how to use collaborative practice to keep people using violence accountable and learn about secondary consultation to collaboratively support victim survivors of family violence; the Information Sharing Schemes (FVISS and CISS) and how to use them; risk assessment and risk management.
Collaborative Practice is an integral component of the MARAM suite of training for professionals in the northern metropolitan region responding to family violence. It is an important opportunity to build cross-sector relationships, learn from other professionals and network.

A practical training that supports participants to develop strategies to engage in conversations with people experiencing violence, respond to disclosures, establish safety, and partner with person experiencing family violence.This training can be tailored to the context and needs of participant’s setting. The training is useful for practitioners who come across people experiencing family violence in the course of their work and complements MARAM training, particularly for those who have not worked in the field of family violence previously.
