Inclusion and Intersectionality Webinar Series
During COVID-19, the NIFVS Inclusion and Intersectionality Community of Practice has been reimagined as a webinar series focusing on using an intersectional framework to improve inclusion.
The webinar series featured presentations by guest speakers to support participants to build best practice when responding to marginalised communities.
In the first of a series on using an intersectional framework to improve inclusion, the NIFVS team facilitated a webinar focusing on Elder Abuse, on 22 May 2020.
This webinar series replaces the NIFVS Inclusion and Intersectionality Community of Practice during COVID-19.
Participants heard from Helen Rushford, (Elder Abuse Prevention and Response Liaison Officer, Melbourne Health) about what constitutes Elder Abuse, the complexities for victim survivors and what workers should consider.
